Isaac Hayes’ Scientology spokeswoman disputes that he had a stroke in January, and did not quit "South Park" of his own volition. Nevertheless, Hayes has still not been seen since the "South Park" cause celebre dusted up. Show us Isaac, folks, and then we’ll believe you. I’m told a fellow superstar and old friend was not happy with his condition when she finally got through to Hayes the other day

Of course the fellow superstar wasn't happy with his condition. If Isaac had a stroke, then they've got him taking 'vitamins'. If he refused to do the church's bidding, then they've got him taking 'vitamins'.

Re: South Park/Scientology/Isaac Hayes kerfuffle continues
My personal theory is this: Isaac Hayes, a Scientologist, was a cast member on a show which featured an anti-Scientology episode. The Church of Scientology organization was NOT happy with the way their "religion" was portrayed for world-wide audience. So, of course, they did NOT want one of their own, being a part of this "evil" Anti-Scientology entity (the show, South Park). They wanted their valued member, Isaac Hayes, to cease being a part of this "evil" Anti-Scientology entity. They probably tried to get Isaac to quit being on the show before, and Isaac refused--it was a great-paying & fun job for a washed-up old former star. Then, Isaac Hayes had a debilitating stroke. Since it was clear that due to the stroke, Isaac would never again be in the condition to continue his role as Chef on the show, the higher-ups at The Church of Scientology POUNCED on their golden opportunity to make a grand statement about how "wrong" it is to criticize their *wonderful* religion--and get lots of publicity making their statement. They announced that Isaac was quitting the show, because of its Anti-Scientology stance. Isaac may not have even been aware of them announcing this. I believe that these strange people in this bizarre cult, will do ANYTHING (especially announce a big dramatic statement) for publicity. My 2 cents.

Re: South Park/Scientology/Isaac Hayes kerfuffle continues
He would probably still get some money each time a show was rerun, right? And if he did have a debilitating stroke and could not do the job anymore then they really would not be losing any money, would they? I have a feeling with all of their other Hollywood stars and celebs(Travolta, Cruise, Jason Lee, Kirstie, etc) and with having their talons in the richest man in Australia they are not exactly hurting for money or influence. fuckers.

Re: South Park/Scientology/Isaac Hayes kerfuffle continues
^^He'll be rolling in the royalties for many years to come, what with 10 years of South Park up his sleeve plus the films and stuff...
I must say since James Packer took over the channel 9 network(the station his dad owned) in Australia we have been hearing ALOT of reports about the over presciption of medicine here, about anti-depresants and children they say should not be treated with ADHD medication etc... Always reported with that trademark anti-psychiatry, $cientologist spin of course. Unfortunately the Co$ influence is becoming more obvious in the media here.

If that happens, I will personally unleash a biological agent to sterilize the entire island.
