The 'Dukes Of Hazzard' stunner has forked out for the first refusal because she wants to play the lead vixen in big screen version of the steamy Jackie Collins tome.

An insider has revealed: "Jessica has read the book several times and loves it."

'Lovers And Players' follows the saucy exploits of a billionaire, his three sons and a 19-year-old waitress called Liberty.

The insider added to Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper: "Jessica says the role is perfect for her. She's hoping it will showcase her as a serious actress."
