No Sharon Stone in 'Basic Instinct 3'

Actress Sharon Stone firmly believes that there will be a "Basic Instinct 3" though she has no intentions of starring in it.

"Basic Instinct 2" is currently playing in theatres. However, Stone has told producers that they will have to look for another leading lady, reported contactmusic.com.

Stone might not have intentions of starring in the next one but she thinks her co-star David Morrissey should carry on. She said: "I am hoping David will carry the flag. I will just go to the movies and watch it and say, 'Yeah, baby!' "

These movies are not a GODDAMN NATIONAL TREASURE! She seems to think of the franchise as some grand institution. Sorry Sharon, your precious character is just not all that special.

I guess it's hard for her not to be sentimental about the role that *made* her. Ironic that she loves to act like this isn't the case!

Number 3? Geez I bet that is even more second rate than number 2 will be. Of course I am only assuming that number 2 will be second rate. I will have to wait to hear from the others first! I just can't imagine it being any good.

^^^I hear ya. All I really remember about Basic Instinct was 1) a knife under a bed or something, 2) girl-on-girl dance floor humping and 3) a beaver shot, none of which carry any shock value at all, anymore.
