Joaquin & Eva: on set behaviour
I love my Phoenix but I do worry about his smoking. How many packs of ciggies can you go through in one day?? Anyway, here they are separately on the set of We Own the Night. And even though those Crisp Lisp gay rumours continue to circulate, I've been informed by a reader named Connie B that I needn't worry because both Defamer and Datalounge have scoffed away any homo speculation. Temporary relief until Ted C's next clue, I suppose.
So anyway - about Joaq and Eva. Heard from spies on the set who tell me that while their chemistry was hot during rehearsals, things have gotten decidely awkward during shoots. Seems like the two are now acting like there's nothing between them. You know when you like someone and they like you but you don't want anyone else to know, you go out of your way to ignore them or to not be aware of them but in reality your entire body starts buzzing whenever they're around? It's that kind of thing. No overt displays of friendliness, all business, ultra professional, and yet everyone around feels something anyway? That's how it was described to me. Could it be pure gay deflection. Of course. But at this point, I'll take whatever I can get.
