Disquiet on the set: Teri Hatcher caused an uproar over the access she gave a Vanity Fair scribe.

Why can't those "Desperate Housewives" girls just get along?

On-set jealousies have broken to the surface in the wake of Teri Hatcher's Vanity Fair cover.

One source says Hatcher sent an E-mail to her co-stars escalating a fight that started over access granted to Vanity Fair writer Leslie Bennetts.

Apparently the policy had been that journalists were not allowed on set unless the piece was about all the actresses, although this rule seems to have been waived for Hatcher. And that caused some unpleasantness.

"She also griped that this wasn't the first incident of outright jealousy from them and that this was now her time to shine," says a source familiar with the E-mail. "She talked about all the covers that Eva [Longoria] has gotten and how she's only been supportive."

What's there to be so jealous about Teri anyways. She basically bitched about how she can't get a date and and that she was abused by her uncle (I empathize with this but), isn't that what she revealed in the VF interview?
Her face (esp her eyes) is so messed up from the PS (or maybe just aging alone?) and I think she's actually the ugliest of the Desperate Housewives bunch.
I wouldn't waste my energy being jealous of her.

These gals shouldn't waste their time being jealous of Teri Hatcher because she's not the cutest one out of the bunch. Also, how does a cover story detailing one's sexual abuse constitute "one's turn to shine"? I'm sorry it happened, but it looks like she's broadcasting the experience for publicity reasons.

Ah, good point. I should note that I don't think she's so cynical as to use her abuse to get publicity. She doesn't strike me as that calculating, although I could be wrong. And it's funny, because every man I know thinks she's the sexy one. Not the most beautiful, mind you, but the one they'd like to fuck. Strange.
