MACAULAY CULKIN insists he was forced to testify at pop star MICHAEL JACKSON's child molestation trial last June (05), in order to defend his image.
The HOME ALONE actor wanted to remain on the sidelines during the proceedings, but was compelled to come forward after prosecutor's cited him as an example of Jackson's alleged abuse.
He explains, "I didn't really want to (testify). I wasn't planning on getting involved in the whole thing. It was the prosecution who started bringing up my name and saying 'this person did that to me' and bringing in their witnesses. I'm not going to just sit on the side and let people say those kind of things about me. I had to testify really, they forced me into it."
Who ever wants to testify? He really had an obligation to. Of course he was being forced. Did he think because he was a celebrity he would have a choice in the matter?
When I think back to those days and I think Michael Jackson, I automatically think Macaulay Culkin too. They were connected at the hip back in the day. Why wouldn't the lawyers want him as a witness?
