Dita Von Teese hits out at Hollywood standard of beauty

Rocker MARILYN MANSON's wife DITA VON TEESE has hit out at Hollywood standards of beauty, branding them unrealistic and unoriginal. The curvy burlesque dancer, who has dark hair and pale skin, is frustrated with the pressure on women to be stick-thin, with blonde hair and tanned skin. Von Teese tells UK's Cosmopolitan magazine (article title - "Why there's nothing sexier than being yourself...!") she wishes women would value their health over their looks and be individuals. The showgirl says, "My advice would be to experiment, ignore trends and work out 'this is how I look best.' "We don't all have to blend in or look like SIENNA MILLER."

I agree...you don't simply have to be a blonde stick insect to conform to a stereotype, there are many stereotypes that abound and she's part of one of them. It's just another ignorant person saying "well, what i do somehow has more value than what you do because I'm in the minority" when the reality is that it's a moot point. It's just stupid talk.

Good point, he is the most revolting thing ever, and he hides behind his image, he probably takes longer getting ready in the morning than any female on earth but Dita's obviously ok with his bullshit.

I agree with what she says, shes not really saying dont be sexy etc shes just saying go with what works for you, you dont all have to have oompa loompa skin and blonde hair. She isnt saying dress like a nun from head to toe and never dye your hair sheesh. She says figure out what works best for you. Which is fine advice, not everyone looks good blonde, I dont thats why I dye my hair, I go with what goes best with my face complexion personal style and taste.

The healthy part though I think she means non anorexic as in a healthy weight, I dont think she means healthy in any other way though cos I doubt shed be with Marilyn if she wasnt doing the drugs, or she is being hypocritical.

Also kinda silly to point out she dresses skanky and has implants, I mean HELLO she is a burlesque dancer, thats how they dress and they have to have tatas its just part of the 'costume'.

Finally Marilyn is meant to be an interesting and intelligent person to talk to, so I dunno maybe shes not completely shallow and overlooks his looks, or maybe she likes them? Is that a crime sheesh.
