Actress PORTIA DE ROSSI has slammed society's obsession with body image and insists OPRAH WINFREY will be remembered more for her obsession with weight, rather than her good deeds.
De Rossi says Winfrey is one of the most powerful women in the world, yet believes people tend to focus on her weight issues.
She explains, "Here's a woman who could not be more powerful. She has done amazing things for the world. And yet, when you think of Oprah, you think 'Weight-Obsessed Yo-Yo Dieter'. Whether she knows it or not, that's a legacy she will leave."

She's probably going to be summoned to appear on the show so that Oprah can grill her for the full hour about her audacity to say such a thing about her Oprahness.

Pot calling Kettle? I find it odd how someone who famously starved herself to skeletal proportions can critisise anothers issues with food:

She's only saying this because she knows she will only be remembered for being a stick insect. She doesn't really care about Oprah, and neither do I so shut up and eat something.

I'm always going to remember Oprah as a bad TV show host who always interupted her guests when they talked.

I have never watched Oprah, well not a whole show, I've saw bits and she just seems as though her guests should not be worthy of her when it should be the other way round. She seems to think too much of herself.

Ironicially enough, I do think about her weight. Maybe that's because Star Magazine had some blerb recently that said Oprah told her audience she's a size 6. She must have forgotten to say "teen" at the end of her sentence though.

When I think of Oprah I think of big hair.
When I think of Portia, I think "the emaciated scary chick from Ally McBeal".

I don't think she's criticizing Oprah at all... I think she's slamming society for being weight-obsessed, and that it's a problem. And I agree with that.
Oprah's weight was a very big deal for a while... and the only reason it's not anymore is because she lost it and managed to keep it off. If she was still ballooning up every six months, we'd still be talking about it. She won't be remembered for that, though... being a black female billionaire tv mogul ain't nothing to shake a stick at.

THANK YOU!
I think Oprah will be remembered for her gigantic ego & for taking herself so darned seriously. Her fluctuating weight is just a part of that. I personally don't know what good she's done for anybody, but I don't keep up with her doings. I just see what's thrown in my face.
