Stunning DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star TERI HATCHER hates asking men out on dates - because she is terrified of rejection.
The 41-year-old brunette, who was recently linked to Hollywood star GEORGE CLOONEY, prefers to stick to tradition and wait for the man to make the first move.
Hatcher says, "I've done it a few times, but I'm pretty shy, so normally I wouldn't have the courage or nerve to do it. It depends on the circumstances.
"If you're at a party and you manage to find yourself standing next to a guy you find interesting, you might feel more inclined to drop some hints that you'd be open to seeing him sometime.
"But I'm kind of traditional and I'd prefer a man to ask me out. But ask me that same question six months from now - maybe I'll give you a different answer."
We'd be afraid of her approaching us, too. "What the HELL is the
