Macaulay Culkin: 'Michael Jackson unable to cope with reality'

Actor MACAULAY CULKIN blames pop singer MICHAEL JACKSON's problems on his inability to cope with reality.

The star believes Jackson is so out of touch with the world around him that when something bad happens, he withdraws even further to protect himself.

He explains, "He goes inward and builds walls around himself and he buys a piece of land far, far away from everybody. You can't assess fault anywhere - it's a reaction to the outside world."

The HOME ALONE star is adamant the child molestation charges against Jackson were false and that he was taken advantage of by people looking to make money.

He says, "I don't believe the allegations were true. Those people were just dangerous, dangerous people and the one thing that I felt was that he shouldn't have let those people in his life to begin with.

"After a while you learn to sniff those people out, but because he's isolated himself so much from society he couldn't. I can't blame him for that, but at the same time it's regrettable that that's happened to him."

Sure, Mac, whatever...your friend's "inability to cope with reality" certainly didn't stop him from buying the Beatles catalog (ensuring he'd find suckers, I mean investors who'd loan him money and then stiffing them when payment's due), hiring Anthony Pellicano to threaten Jordy Chandler, having Jermaine set up things so he can run away post trial to the Middle East (a region with no extradition treaty to US)and simply "forgetting" to pay his employees for 3 months while he travels all over the world and treats his enablers, i mean "friends to gifts.

Oh, and why is it that you specifically said that you'd testify in the trial if you were guaranteed there'd be no questions about "his" kids' biological makeup? Also, it was a CRIMINAL trial! If he was found he guilty, it'd mean JAIL TIME, not him having to pay his accusers. Don't tell me he paid off the Chandlers with $20m because he pitied them for taking advantage of his "kindness"...

Oh yes, it's societies fault that Jacko wouldn't use his vast fortune to seek the psychological help he sorely needed and could readily afford. It's societies fault he carved up his face like a ham. It's societies fault that he cultivated celebrity, all the while bitching and moaning about it.

You would think if he had isolated himself that much he wouldn't have a house full of fucking children all the time-whatever!
This kid is probably harboring terrible memories of his own assault and is too afraid or embarrassed to say so....or got paid before the money ran out and MJ ran off....
ETA: I can see headlines in 5 or 10 years-Macaulay Culkin suffering affects of Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome due to molestation.....

^^Could be, but Macaulay certainly wasn't shy about detailing how much of a prick his father was/is. I can't figure out what the dynamic was between him and Wacko, but there's something icky feeling about it, for sure.

I've always wondered if Jacko bought Macaulay off awhile ago...and since Mac just happens to be famous, he defends him. The whole thing makes me ill...
