STUNNING Charlize Theron has split from movie hunk Stuart Townsend after more than five years.
He was noticeably absent from the Aeon Flux star’s side at last Sunday’s Oscars and the Baftas the week before.
Hollywood’s rumour mill went into overdrive. And last night a pal said: “Charlize is free and single again.
“Her relationship with Stuart is well and truly over.
“They just grew apart. It wasn’t always easy because filming often kept them apart for months.”

Charlize, 30, revealed only weeks ago she had no intention of marrying Dubliner Stuart, 33 — who starred in The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
The South African-born actress, who won an Oscar in 2004 for playing a serial killer in Monster, said: “It’s not really what I want — or what he wants.”

Charlize is an old fashioned Hollywood ice blonde glamourpuss. Gorgeous. Alfred Hitchcock would have gone crazy for her (see Tippi Hedren, Kim Novak, Grace Kelly). She looks AMAZING in the previews I've seen of Aeon Flux. Nothing to do with her relationship of course, but I'm sure she'll find another spunk. I also really respect her for being prepared to Ugly Down for her role in Monster.

Im really sad. They made a nice couple and they lasted a while. I like Charlize Theron a lot and wish them both well. I bet there will men queing up round the block to get her number!

I thought he looked pretty good in "Queen of the Damned," but I've never seen anything else he's been in and he never looks good in pictures to me.

I find this hard to believe. Anyone who has seen Charlize interviewed when she's been asked about Stuart, knows that she is absolutely head over heels in love with him. Either he was a bad boy and she kicked him to the curb or he did the kicking.

^I remember reading rumours that she was a lesbian (this was before "Monster") I believe in was in the Enquirer...they even published a pic of her and a "friend" having a kiss...looked a little steamy for a simple friendly "hello"/"goodbye" type of kiss.
It did seem like she and Stuart had a great relationship, though.
