Natalie Portman praises London restaurants

Hollywood beauty Natalie Portman has lavished praised on London's restaurants, after hearing about the British capital's bad culinary reputation.

The V For Vendetta actress believes London's eateries have improved rapidly since she first visited the city as a teenager and loves the wide range of international cuisine on offer.

She enthuses, "The food in England has improved."

However, with the poor exchange rate for US dollars to UK pounds, Portman admits she doesn't enjoy shopping in one of the world's fashion capitals as much as she used to.

She says, "London's not the best place to shop right now. Us poor Americans can't afford it."

I actually think she is one of those just naturally skinny celebs...I don't think she is anorexic like the rest of them. My sister is built that way...just skinny with very little effort.

I know I keep praising this woman...really I am not that big of a fan but she just irritates me less so than most celebs.

I find it refreshing that she actually does think in terms of how much stuff costs. Kudos to her for being financially responsible. Just because you have money to burn doesn't mean you do it.

I'm sorry...I like this girl. She seems mature and responsible.

How come whenever anyone says anything even just slighly not positive about Ms. Portman, the Natalie patrol ALWAYS arrives to say how great she is?
She doesn't want to spend the money because she's used to getting everything for free. And she's a cheapskate.
