Back in the saddle - uneasy rider Madonna
    08:38am 8th March 2006

Given her famously fearless nature, the only surprise is that it didn't happen sooner. A few months after being thrown from her horse and needing hospital treatment, Madonna has determinedly got back in the saddle to ride unaided for the first time.
The singer arrived at a ranch in the Simi Valley near her Los Angeles home looking pale and a little fragile after partying until 5am following the Oscars ceremony in Hollywood.

After tentatively getting on the animal, she trotted around the yard for a few moments led by a trainer, pulling on the reins and leaning back in the saddle. She then leant forward and praised the horse.

Gaining confidence, she broke into a canter and later joined three other riders on the open road. 'She started out looking really, really nervous,' said an onlooker. 'But the longer she was on the horse, the more confident she became.'

In the riding accident last August, Madonna suffered three cracked ribs, a broken collarbone and a fractured hand. It happened at her country home Ashcombe House in Wiltshire, where she had been celebrating her 47th birthday with her husband Guy and children Rocco and Lourdes.

Since then, she has been on a horse only once but that was a publicity stunt for a U.S. chat show and it is believed the animal was led by a trainer.

She waited this long? Shrugs, didn't she realize that when you ride you're going to have the assorted broken bones, scrapes and falls? Everyone that is in the horsey set will tell you it's not for the faint of heart. Madge needs an old swaybacked nag if she's that nervous.

Hmmm, I thought she was braver than that. I've ridden and trained horses for years and your right Gator, you come to EXPECT a fall now and then.
She looks like shit in all of her photos, not nearly enough airbrushing in these ones!
I'm not quite drunk enough to really care, but is this her violation of her violation of her violation of her violation of probation or her violation of her violation of her violation of her probation????? ~MontanaMama on LL's latest arrest.

This horse looks a little tamer than that hunter/jumper she fell off. Maybe Madge should stick to Shetland ponies.
    Keep passing the open windows.
