JODIE'S PHOTO RULES

Jodie Foster Jodie Foster is more than happy to autograph photos for adoring fans — but only if she likes the picture.

A spy who recently saw the Flightplan star in action tells Star People: "Jodie was giving out autographs for fans and a lot of people wanted them. She was fine with that until she saw a picture she didn't like. It was hilarious. She took the picture, ripped it up, gave it to her bodyguard and asked him for a new one," the spy witness says.

"Her bodyguard handed over a recent head shot of her from a stack that he was holding, and she signed it and gave it back to the fan with a big smile." Adds the source: "When Jodie handed the guy the new photo, she said that it was a trick she learned from Robert De Niro!"

I say good for her....

. Part of the schtick on the Mad About You show was Helen Hunt occassionally saying that she looked like Jodie Foster. Now Helen's an Oscar winning movie star in her own right. Go figure.

I can't say I blame her. I get mad when friends and family have photos in their homes or albums of me if I don't think I look good in them.

That's so funny to me that you make the connection between those two. I've been told on seperate occasions that I look like each of them. I sort of see a resemblence, but have never heard anyone else make that comparison. IMO, we all three look like cute white-bread Americans.

I think her "rule" on signing photos is that she tries to get rid of the pix from "Taxi Driver" (where she's like a teen prostitute or something). She won't sign that photo...I think this is less a control or vanity issue than her not wanting to have some stalker fan jerking off to a photo of her when she was 12 y.o.

I'm really vein when it comes to pictures of me that I don't like I get embarrassed and feel like ripping them up!! But atleast Jodie did it in a nice way, its not like she was being mean to the fan, they were probably greatful for a better picture that came from Jodie herself!!
