Ex-BEATLE SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY and his wife HEATHER MILLS MCCARTNEY faced marine mammal interference charges after cuddling a white baby seal in Canada last week (ends03MAR06).
The MCCartneys travelled to the ice floes of the Gulf Of St Lawrence on Thursday (02MAR06) to bring media attention to the controversial seal slaughter in the region.
Although officials were upset the couple touched the seal, they have decided not to press charges in order to avoid controversy ahead of this year's (06) upcoming seal hunt.
Canadian fisheries spokesman PHIL JENKINS says, "It was not an overly serious violation. There was just one pup involved and there was no serious disruption of the herd. If we sensed they were going too far, we'd act. But, we're not going to follow up on this."
It wouldn't be the 1st time that some one has faced charges for attempted cuddling. People just don't understand!
I call it 'touching with intent to cuddle'! Remember it is serious. You can loose your job, face lawsuits, and even criminal charges. So let's not make light of this.
Remember, when you go to cuddle, 'cuddle with care'!
