Default Macauley Culkin looking for work.

Ex-child star Macaulay Culkin says he is struggling to find work as a grownup actor and that he barely talks to pal Michael Jackson.
"I don't know what people want from me," Culkin, 25, boohoos in Time magazine. "I'm the most out-of-work actor I know."

The "Home Alone" star's biggest recent role was in a real-life courtroom when he testified as a character witness last year for Jacko, who skated free on child molestation charges.

Culkin, who still looks as pale and slim as he did in his heyday, says he has talked only once to Jackson since the pop star fled to the Middle East after his acquittal.

"He's a friend, but the kind of friend you talk to twice a year," Culkin said.

With little work in Hollywood, Culkin has written a semiautobiographical novel, "Junior," which is due to come out later this month.

Culkin, who is dating "That '70s Show" actress Mila Kunis, admits his sputtering career and the stream-of-consciousness tone of the book might spark even more whispers about him.

"I've led a very isolated existence since I was 6 years old," he said. "It's kind of been me and my mind. I hope people don't think I'm crazy, because I'm not."

For some reason I have a soft spot for this guy. He was sort of shoved into a situation by his fucked up parents and is now trying to make sense of his life. It can't be easy and I hope he gets it together.

I think he still is a good actor despite the seeming eccentricities (friendship with MJ etc). I think his little brother is a pretty good actor, too.
Not sure how successful his book is going to be but hope he'll be able to get some good acting roles.

If you think it's crazy, you ain't seen a thing. Just wait until we're goin down in flames.

I get the feeling he wouldn't know a freak if one ran him over. He hasn't led much of a normal life since he was a little kid, so doesn't have those normal sensors most of us possess.

He was great in "Saved!" and "Party People" Too bad he can't find adult roles easily.
