Meg Ryan has changed the name of her adopted Chinese baby.
The 44-year-old actress adopted the tot in January and originally chose the name Charlotte for her daughter.
However, Meg has now changed her mind after deciding the title is not appropriate.
She told US chat show host Oprah Winfrey: "I already had to change her name. I thought she was Charlotte and she's just not...she's a Daisy."
Meg - who has a 13-year-old son, Jack, with ex-husband Dennis Quaid - picked up her baby from the US consulate in January after an eight-day stay in China to prove her suitability to be parent.
Meg recently showed off her baby in public for the first time during a trip to a Santa Monica cafe, in California.

Way to really fuck the kid up!! Not only does she have to learn a new/different language, but now she has to figure out what the hell her name is......and then she changes it. Nice...

Oh Frankie, how right you are.
I love that it only took 10 years for Meg to act on her profound sense that she should adopt (of course she meant she'd should adopt when she's a washed-up-has-been-of-a-hag).

I honestly don't see what the problem is... you know, people that give birth to their own babies sometimes choose a name in haste and change their minds later when it doesn't suit the baby at all. It happens. The kid only had the name for what... two months? She's probably been calling her Daisy for a while, too. It's not going to fuck her up.
Looking at Meg's face every day might, though.

Uh.. she's a baby. She doesn't have to learn a new or different language. She just has to learn to talk.

^^Hehe...won't change anything for the baby per se but it shows she doesn't consider the baby as a person in her own right...most people could decide to change their baby's name after a while, they don't do it because the kid has been introduced to the community with a name and they are recognized as a separate entity, not their parents' toy

We picked our daugher's name about 10mins after she was born (didn't know the gender beforehand) and don' regret it for a minute.
We knew we had a son 24hrs before he was born but had already picked a name.
My sister has a dog named Daisy - that's all I'm saying.

I guess picking a name is harder for some folks.
I had my son's name months before he was born and my daughter's name before she was even conceived. My cousin, on the other hand, had no idea what to name her baby. The poor kid was nameless for a good two weeks after he was born and was just called 'baby' by the family. LOL
