Britney Spears buys mansion in Hawaii

MOST people buy a stick of rock when on their hols – BRITNEY SPEARS picked up a mansion.
The Princess Of Pop splashed out £3million on a pad while staying on Maui, her favourite Hawaiian island.

The star took five-month-old son SEAN PRESTON for his first trip to the tropical paradise last week [pics here http://www.gossiprocks.com/forum/lat...20-2006-a.html and http://www.gossiprocks.com/forum/lat...23-2006-a.html ] while hubby KEVIN FEDERLINE remained in LA recording a CD.

But instead of chilling out and topping up her tan, Brit trawled around looking for the perfect family home where she can rekindle her romance with Kev.

She fell in love with the huge house, which includes a glistening pool and outside Jacuzzi overlooking a coved bay.
The property may be worth a pretty penny but it will probably save Britney a fortune in the long run.

She has been visiting Maui for four years.

In the past she spent romantic breaks with her ex JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE at the swanky Four Seasons hotel. It charges guests up to £1,000 a night to enjoy its facilities, including the luxury of chilled towels and healing gardens.

When she first travelled to the island with new hubby Kevin they avoided the hotel.
Instead they were reported to have splashed out £25,000 a month to stay in a private luxury villa.

But last week she jetted in without Kev to the luxurious four-star hotel where she romanced Justin. But there is every chance it will be her last stay there now she’s found a house.

A source said: “Britney knows staying at the Four Seasons may upset Kevin because she used to holiday there with Justin. But she won’t have to worry about that when they move into their new place.

“Britney is really hoping this new home will be a family place. They have been on rocky ground for some time now and while Kev was away recording his album she decided she had to do something to make their relationship work.

“Brit told Kevin she had her heart set on a home in Maui. It’s one of her favourite places in the world. She’s hoping it will bring some luck to their relationship.

“If you can’t fall back in love on the golden beaches in Hawaii, then where can you?”
