CATHERINE ZETA JONES is trying to convince LEONARDO DiCAPRIO to reprise his role as HOWARD HUGHES in her new film.
The CHICAGO actress will star in the upcoming LANA TUNER biopic and producers are trying to get DiCaprio to make an appearance.
She says, "It would be awesome to get him to reprise the role, even for just a cameo, as he (DiCaprio) was so like him (Hughes)."
The film, called STOMPANATO, is a re-telling of the scandalous murder of thug and wannabe actor JOHNNY STOMPANATO, who was stabbed and killed by Turner's 14-year-old daughter.
KEANU REEVES will co-star with Zeta Jones as Turner's abusive lover.
The movie will also focus on the film star's many love affairs, including Howard Hughes, according to website Moviehole.net.

It might not be the wisest career move...
However, I'd like to see (for lack of better terms) an Aviator II, simply because the first one only told 1/2 of Howard Hughes life. There's so much more to tell, how he had a huge part in starting Vega$, more of his life, drug addiction, you name it. The man had quite the life.
