Project Runway Winner Rips Heidi Klum

Loose-lipped fashion designer Jay McCarroll, last year's winner of "Project Runway," claims to have put his runaway tongue on a leash.

"I've learned that if I call Heidi Klum a tw-," McCarroll confided the other night at the Chelsea nightspot Sol, "it gets taken out of context and printed, and then I get in trouble for it." Uh-huh. As for Klum, "She's fine. She's a product," McCarroll said. "She's generally nice."

The newly tactful designer was holding forth at the premiere party for his new Bravo documentary, "Project Jay," in which he's shown sobbing bitterly after Klum rejects the dress he designed for her Emmy Awards appearance last fall.

Did anybody see that show? Jay's going to have to get used to this, because they all do shit like that - and much worse, actually. At least she said she was sorry.

Honestly, I never got this fashon design stuff - even most of the runway stuff. Most of it's ugly and, despite being worth thousands of dollars, I wouldn't wear any of it even if it were given to me. Can't say I blame Heidi. Anybody else feel the same?

Well, you had to see the show. Making the dress puts him in a time crunch and goes to all lengths to finish. Then Heidi - sorry, her people - call the day of and say she's wearing something else.

It was pretty nice, but not something I would wear. Something Heidi Klum would wear? Probably. But she had just had a baby at the time.

Apparently this Project Jay show has no viewers! I was wondering if anybody else watched it.
