Heath Ledger - stay at home dad

Heath Ledger has said he will stay home with Matilda so Michelle Williams can work on becoming famous-er (what?). I think this is a really nice thing to do for his wife. But I also think it is smart on his end. People need time to forget that he was making out with a man before they can believe that he is a heartbreaker and take on those lead-man roles. It’s a win-win if you ask me.


Heath Ledger will abandon acting after the Academy Awards next month, so he can spend time with baby daughter Matilda. The Australian actor wants to let his partner Michelle Williams pursue her acting career, and has vowed to spend the rest of the year at home.

Both stars have won Oscar nominations for their roles in Brokeback Mountain. Ledger said at last night’s BAFTAs, “I’m going to try not to work at all this year and send Michelle out to bring in the cash. “I’ll be Mr Mum. “It’s something that’s very important to me - something that every dad, if he can, should do his best to achieve.” (UK Yahoo)
