Rachel Weisz got birth advice by African women

THE CONSTANT GARDENER star RACHEL WEISZ was bombarded with advice from local African women who actually thought she was pregnant while shooting the hit film in Kenya.

The English actress, who is currently six months pregnant in real life, gained plenty of practice for her current condition by wearing a prosthetic device that made her look like she was nine months pregnant during the shoot.

She explains, "We were filming in Africa in villages and in the slum outside of Nairobi. All of the African women assumed I was really pregnant. Some of them could speak a little bit of English, and they would give me the (pregnancy tips) they had or they would show my really successful birthing positions."

The actress didn't want to appear rude, so she listened closely to what they were saying, which proved to be a wise move now she is expecting a baby with director DARREN ARONOFSKY.
