National Enquirer 2-27-06
In a sudden rebellion against My Favorite Alien and Interplanetary CruiseControl, furious Katie Holmes warned fiance'/daddy to be Tom Cruise that she'll absolutely refuse to allow Scientologists to commandeer her newborn at birth for what their church calls "processing a new mother" - a bizarre ritual which involves separating mother and child for 3 days, allowing only minimal contact. As her time approaches, sources say Katie's becoming hysterical over the idea that her baby will be controlled by the sect's handlers from the moment he/she enters the world. In a raging confrontation, Katie told Tom she flatly rejects Scientology's edict that newborns should be left totally alone for the entire first day after birth - a process that supposedly helps the infant recuperate spiritually after separation from the womb. Tom stubbornly insists that laws laid down by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard must be obeyed, says sources, but Katie told him she refuses to discuss the matter - and warned him never to speak of it again! Stay tuned (we contacted Cruise's rep, who denied all. Katie's rep did not respond)

Re: War of the Worlds between Tom and Katie
I would never want to be separated from my newborn either. What a bizarre ritual.

Re: War of the Worlds between Tom and Katie
Wouldn't the Scientologists be heavily into breastfeeding??? Then why would they take a newborn away from it's mother?? They're so against drugs of any kind, then wouldn't you just naturally assume this? It's the best thing for the child too....
This makes no sense. And good for Katie. It's YOUR CHILD HONEY. Don't forget that!!

I'm not sure I believe the story.... or any of these stories where they supposedly know what someone said to someone in private..... but lord I HOPE she'd put her foot down about that. What crazy ass religion would encourage a mother not to bond with her new baby?

She'd better have her momma and daddy in there with her then. You know they're (Tom with the help of the cult) totally going to do whatever they want with that baby unless she runs away and has it on her own!
"Bring me my baby now you !@#$!! Or I'll tell EVERYONE you're a fag!"

That is so unbelievably dumb. Come on, Katie! I really, really hope her parents kidnap her right before she is due and take her away from Tom and friends.
And I read that Scientologists don't like breastfeeding. I guess Ron L made some barley and molasses based recipe for formula he believes is better for babies (something about the mother passing bad vibes to the kiddo through her milk). Here's a link to an article about that lovely gem:

If you Google, there are other articles about it. It all seems so

If babies needed barley/molasses water, it would come out of women's breasts.
That is all.

^^ I've seen pics of L. Ron and he never saw too many breasts --
women's breasts -- before he croaked. (Whether he could
see past his own is a matter for debate.)

Was L.Ron gay too............like Tom?
Oh well.......men and their @#$% up beliefs. A mothers instinct might take over here and Katie will fight tooth and nail to do the right thing by her kid. Did John Travoltas wife Kelly Preston sit back and let all that rubbish happen?????

The thing is, the baby needs to eat the first day. About two seconds after my kids were born, they latched on to a boob and went to town. then they farted, fell asleep and woke up two hours later for a repeat performance. Tom is fucked up. he should stick with adoption so at least those kids will have a normal first few days of life. It could make all the difference.

From the first known civilization women have been breastfeeding their babies. Sometimes I wish I knew what went wrong in L Ron's brain that made him so fucking crazy. Our (women's) bodies are made to sustain our children-I have never heard of a baby not being able to "tolerate" its mothers milk. A lot of times a woman can't nurse for whatever reason, but don't think it was ever becasue of the milk itself.
If this shit is true- and she is pregnant and allows it to happen, she is dumber than I thought. There are studies that show babies who aren't held and loved have problems-I don't think it would happen in 3 days, but that seems so cruel to me. The first few hours and days after birth should be used for bonding time, not locked away where you just lay there and cry...this is all so bizarre....
