As over the top as Jenny McCarthy is, I think if it was true she would be the first to admit it. It's not like she is worried about it damaging her 'career'

I'd have to agree too, I would think that she'd be blabbering to someone about it, Howard included. Jenny's got nothing to lose when it comes to her "career".
