Lisa Marie Presley Marries Guitarist

Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of rock 'n' roll king Elvis Presley, has married guitarist and music producer Michael Lockwood in a ceremony in Kyoto, Japan, her publicist said Thursday. Presley, 38, and Lockwood exchanged vows in a traditional Japanese ceremony on Jan. 22, spokesman Paul Bloch said.

It was Presley's fourth marriage. She was previously married to Nicolas Cage, Michael Jackson and Danny Keough, who is the father of her two children.

The bride's mother, actress Priscilla Presley, walked her daughter down the aisle and gave her away, Bloch said.

Daughter Riley Keough was maid of honor and son Benjamin Keough was a groomsman.

The best man was Presley's first husband Danny Keough.

Also attending the wedding were Lockwood's parents, Vivian and William Lockwood.

Lockwood was Presley's musical director and is listed as executive producer on her 2005 album "Now What."

Presley lives in the Los Angeles area but Bloch said he didn't know where the couple planned to live.

The way Hollywood marriages go, the only monograms I would give ANY of them would just say "His" and "Hers".

People want her to be able to sing. But I dont think she is really that good. If I had all those video technicians to make me look cool and makeup to cover most of my face and swishy swingy hair that looked wild and untamed......and a good throbbing beat and some catchy creepy words to ........aaaaahhh nah I still would look and sound like crap. Kinda like Lisa I guess.

I kind of like her but she does seem a bit unhappy. But then again, her mother is a freak, her father...well, we all know that story. The nice thing about her is that she's great friends with her first husband. Apparently he lives in a house on her big fuck off compound in LA.

I wish nothing but the best for Lisa Marie. I have so much in common with her from my father's early death when I was a child one year after Elvis died to many failed marriages and motherhood and when I met her and told her this and she hugged me and said, "We will always be hurting but we are surviors." She is very sweet but always gives off the sad vibe.
I really hope she has found peace and happiness this time.

I like Lisa Marie, but I think her Mom is the least of her problems. I've always admired how Priscilla tried to raise her as normally as possible given the circumstances. I don't think she's to blame for Lisa's problems. She was strict with her and there's nothing wrong with that. It's everyone else in her life who thought she should be handed everything on a silver platter that is to blame.

Isn't she a Scientologist too? There's absolutely no mention of that church in the wedding ceremony. I hope she's pulling away from Scientology.

But seriously I like her too, and wish her nothing but the best. She appears strange, but when you think of what her early childhood was like and who her father is, you can't help but feel bad for her too, her father is a legend, and she tries so deperately. Darksith, thank you for sharing your personal story with us. Can totaly see Lisa Marie having that side to her where she'd hug you. Like her dad.

Lisa is her own worst nightmare.
I have two friends who lost a parent around the same age as her (one her mom, one her dad). The one who lost her dad was standing next to him during a freak accident when a contraption collapsed and a bolt came loose and was more or less catapulted into the major artery in his neck and he bled to death right in front of her eyes. He was a local celeb, so she was in the public eye, too and exactly as old as Lisa. Despite the terribly traumatic death of her father, she did not turn into an "interesting" nutcase like Presley, but is a well adjusted mother of four, still in her first marriage.

I think Lisa's biggest problem is that she really isn't that smart (9th grade drop-out) and has - later - chosen a secluded life in a cult (she's been involved with Scientology since she was about 17 when she went there to kick her drug habit, and stayed). Sure she lives on her own estate etc. but she's deeply, deeply under the influence. I have yet to hear an original view or thought from her. Her memories of her father are largely spoonfed to her by her psycho mom (who has single handedly re-written Elvis' history as it is now sold to scores of new fans). She only lived at Graceland for close to 4 years, during which Elvis was mostly away on tour or filming in Hollywood. After that, she mostly only saw him during vacations or when he had her over on his tours. He night and day rhythm were reversed, so when she was staying with him, she still didn't see much of him.
Now somebody planted a seed in her mushbrain that she should be a singer, convincing her that she has the talent for it. Well, she doesn't. My dog sings a better tune.
She looks like they've locked her up in a room with mirrored walls, with a karaoke set and every Elvis concert movie and TV appearance on DVD and told her to study hard. She got some of the moves and stares down, but that's about it.
She belongs only one category above Paris Hilton. Like Hilton she has too much money and status and no talent. But unlike Hilton at least Presley is involved with charity like Presley Place - to help homeless families back on their feet, but that's about it.
