Madonna only moved to London for love

The LIKE A PRAYER singer found visits to the English capital made her feel homesick and lonely, but decided making London her home was preferable to a long distance relationship with film director Ritchie.
Madonna, 47, says, "I moved here for love. No other reason. I never thought in a million years I'd live in London. In fact I quite disliked the place for a while. This was always a city I'd get in and out of as quickly as possible.
"Then I met my husband. I realised that if I didn't live here, I wouldn't get to see him very much."
The MUSIC star has since grown to love the city and now boasts luxury pads both in the heart of the capital and in the nearby countryside of Wiltshire.
She adds, "I just fell in love with London and Guy started taking me to the countryside and I actually started to feel comfortable here.
"If I was in America for a while I'd begin to really miss London, so now I prefer being here. It's funny the way things turned out.
"I kind of like the fact that I'm a Yank in England. I like being a fish out of water. I feel freer here."
