Gwen Stefani revealed baby news to explain poor performances
Quote:
GWEN STEFANI revealed all about her pregnancy after feeling she was cheating fans with below-standard performances on her recent solo tour.
The NO DOUBT singer was almost five months pregnant with husband GAVIN ROSSDALE's baby when she played her last show and knew well before that she wasn't performing at her best.
Prior to last night's (08FEB06) Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, Stefani said, "All I could think of was being on the tour and being pregnant but not being able to tell everyone and not really feeling like myself.
"I found out I was pregnant right before I went on tour and I was like, 'No, I have nine costume changes and high heels and bathings suits.' I just wanted to say, 'You don't understand, I'm really sick, and wanting to be like, `You guys, you don't understand...'
"I was four-and-a-half months pregnant the last show. It was a little bit ridiculous."
She admitted she's nervous about becoming a first-time mum: "I don't know what it's gonna be like to be a mom, so I have to figure that part out."

Re: Gwen Stefani revealed baby news to explain poor performances
Being in your mid 30's doesn't help either. I have 2 friends who've had kids at both 19-25 and then later on between 32-38 and it's a big difference.
I was in awesome phy shape/condition when I got pregnant, but working a full time job on feet 8 hrs a day literally kicked my ass at the beginning and especially the end. I would come home and fall into bed and at one point sleep until I had to get up and get ready for the next day! But I got my 3 month maternity leave because I worked full time, so it was worth it. But I know if I had another one now (at 35) there's no way I could do that again. Fortunately I won't have to now that I can work whenever I want.

^^^Yep. My first babies I was 19 and 23 and it was a piece of cake. Just something about crossing that 30 mile marker just kicks your ass every which way! BIG difference having the other babies at 30 and 34. I wonder what the hell happened to my vitality!
I feel for Gwen. Isn't she like mid 30's? 36?

Oh yeah- HUGE difference! I had my first two at 20 and 23 and then my third at 29..and with this one I am almost 32... If I wasn't done anyway, I would be done because of how my body is handling it with age.
