Grammy-nominee KELLY CLARKSON is too embarrassed to approach her music idols when she attends glitzy award shows, because has no idea what to say to them in person.
The singer, who is scheduled to perform at next week's extravaganza (08FEB06), is happy to talk if she happens to run into someone, but she won't seek them out.
She says, "I'm not good at that. What do you say? 'I love your music. You're such an inspiration to me.' And then you're done. Then there is an awkward pause."

I can understand what Kelly is saying because as a fan it's often that way. I'm quite confident though that Kelly could pretty much hold her own. She's talented herself (though not a 'musical icon' by any means) and she appears to be quite humble, down to earth and humorous. She never looks at a loss of words to me.

i think she is ok.. i mean she is a reg chick that got a chance.. maybe a better chance than had she paid for studio time and a producer and all the stuff that it takes to be a success in the music biz..
i for one cant listen to the song "because of you".. she does her part as a singer and feels the music she makes it seems ...
awkward is not that uncommon i wouldnt think when you are used to idolizing others.. and then you are suddenly there too..
its not the same as working your way up.. but UP is where she is .. nonetheless...
