LIZA MINNELLI laughs off constant rumours that her famous mother JUDY GARLAND committed suicide - because there's no way the drama queen would have killed herself without getting dressed up.
The CABARET star admits even she had her doubts when she first heard about her mother's death almost 40 years ago, but she's convinced the WIZARD OF OZ icon died of natural causes.
She says, "I immediately said, 'How?' They said her heart gave out. I knew she hadn't killed herself. I knew mama, she wouldn't go unless she was dressed in all that stuff."
I'm sure this is how Liza chooses to deal with her mother's untimely death and that's fine - whatever works. To the rest of the world though, we know the truth. Kind of ironic considering Liza's headed down the same path with booze, pills, depression, bad choices in men....yada, yada, yada.

The only story I've ever heard of Garland's death is that she overdosed on barbiturates and died while sitting on the toilet.
I actuall believe the Crazy Lady. Because, yeah, from what little bit I know about Miss Judy, she would totally get herself all dressed up to die. Judy's intentional death would have involved pills and lying peacefully on her back, hari coiffed.
