Default "Lack of evidence" in the Kate Moss drug case

It seems that the British police have given up on the case against Supermodel Kate Moss, and admitted that a lack of evidence has made it 'dead duck'.

The case against Moss had centred round newspaper claims that she crushed and racked up 20 lines of cocaine for herself, ex-boyfriend Pete Doherty and his 'Babyshambles' bandmates.

However, with photos of the alleged drug use not constituting legal proof in criminal law, and Moss refusing to answer questions which might have incriminated her, a source admitted that the police would not be able to take action against the model due to insufficient evidence.

“The job is a dead duck. There is not enough evidence to proceed. No substances were ever recovered and photographs are not enough by themselves to build a case,” The Sun quoted the source, as saying.

the likelihood is they probably cut a deal with her; tell us who supplied you and we don't proceed. What do they get out of making her an example? No one will care, so they may as well continue their investigations and get those higher up th chain.

It does very little good to stick one user in jail. Much better to get their dealer.

I assumed the lack of evidence came from the fact that she hoovered it up!
