Oh there totally yum. Hard to describe the flavor though - kind of creamy pineapple/lychee/strawberryish... If you see one pick it up b/c there not available very often.

I love fresh field strawberries (the small ones are always the sweetest),mangosteens, pears (so subtle and delicious), tart apples, plums, peaches, rhubarb, cherries, watermelon but NOT any other kind of melon. If I had to choose: strawberries and cherries.

Well I live in the tropics so I LOVE tropical fruits. I love rare fruits to. Dragon Fruit, Lemon Meringue Pie Fruit, Star Fruit, Chocolate Pudding Fruit...etc.

My all time favourite fruit that I start to crave the minute the mercury starts to rise though is Mangos. Simple, I know, but there is nothing better then a frozen half of a mango when its so hot and humid that not even a day at the beach would cure you.

I had my first crop of about 35 or so from two small trees-they were luscious delicious orange-yellow orbs of delight!!! so juicy and fresh-sum warmed right off the tree! I can't wait for next year's crop!

Tomato (technically a fruit) picked off the vine after a couple of hours warmed by the sun - pure heaven. The smell of a greenhouse full of ripening tomatoes is something you will never forget.

Take a few toms from the vine, slice and drizzle with olive oil, chopped fresh basil and a few crumbs of good quality GREEK (nobody else knows how to make it) feta cheese and some good bread and olives and a glass of red. Perfection.

Strawberries and raspberries - the best are from Scotland late in the season. Never, never eat the imported ones, they are hard (otherwise they wouldn't survive shipping) and tasteless (if you are lucky).

I also love mango, blackcurrants, damsons (you have to cook them, they are too tart raw) and English apples like Cox's Orange Pippins. Can't stand the nasty shiny green ones like Granny Smith.

I love the smell of so many fruits. I love the tastes. But the texture does me in. Doesn't matter what fruit--I end up gagging and spitting it out.

Granny-Smith Apples= I like the sour taste of the apple. It's not so sour that it makes ya face flinch, but it's enough to give of a good refreshing taste. And it kicks ass in an apple pie.
Grapes= They portable and good for ya. I usually eat the Green kinds and there more sweeter than the purple ones.
Cherries= I remeber I had some cherries in California once. They were big in size and very tart, but good. Since then I always get California Cherries at an organic store or at Costco.

I love almost all fruit, with maybe the exception of pears. Something about the texture puts me off a bit.
