Coke, just plain ole Coke is my favorite. But you know who IMO has the BEST generic soda? Safeway! Their rootbeer is better, yes better, than A&W and Barques. Also their grape and orange flavored sodas are wonderful. They are like .99 for a 6 pack of their soda. Albertson's has the WORST generic soda. Undrinkable.

Also, I love ginger ale, some of the Hanson's soda flavors and will not TOUCH Pepsi. Nasty shit, ICK!

Pepsi One is the best by far. Diet Dr. Pepper a not so close second.

My favorite is Diet Coke. Another pop I like is CheerWine from the south. Will pass up southern tea to drink CheerWine. Great stuff. Not the same to drink it at home.

Hate Rootbeer with a passion. That is nasty stuff.

I love diet coke, I drink a lot of the caffeine free variety now since the body deals with it in a similar way to regular water (but it always in addition to the water I drink in a day, never a substitute). I've also become really addicted to Diet A&W root beer.

I don't drink pop, as we call it here. Once every five or six years, I might have a Coke, but after two or three sips, I usually can't stand the sweetness any more.

Diet drinks taste like chemicals to me. One thing I will drink once in a while is Jamaican ginger beer, or have a drink with sodium-free soda, but that's it. I've never bought pop except for parties for other people.

I don't drink much pop at all. There's too much sugar in the normal stuff and god alone knows what crap there is in the diet stuff, and I don't really like the fizziness anyway. I like a gin and tonic though, as long as it's regular tonic - the diet stuff has a nasty taste.

I love Diet Dr Pepper--it's the only soft drink I'll touch. It has to be from a can. I like that acid burn. (Heaven knows what kind of damage I'm doing to my teeth and throat...)

I'm a big vitamin water freak (Glaceau), but if I had to choose Fresca's my pick.

I, too, am trying to cut back on my diet Pepsi. It definitely is a contributor to my UTIs that keep coming back to haunt me. I have made a deal with myself...for every 3 large glasses of water, I allow myself a half glass of diet Pep. I can't see giving it up entirely. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I look at it as my morning coffee, you know?

I tried Jamaican ginger beer just a few weeks ago. I loved it, my son and husband well lets just say they prefer to stick to Diet Coke and Fanta.
I thought it was refreshing and what a change of pace so to speak. I drink one bottle (8 oz) a week.

^^ Agree about cans. The bottled stuff tastes different for some reason. Maybe the canned sodas keep their fizz better, or maybe it's the metal contamination that adds to the flavour LOL.

I'm just the opposite. I prefer bottles to cans. The tin makes soda taste more chemical and flat to me somehow. Same with beer on the rare occasion that I drink it.
