I like Velveeta in Rotel Dip and in Mac & Cheese, but I don't think I've put it in anything else.

What else is it good in?

I like basket cheese, cheese curds, manchego, goat cheese, feta and aged cheddar.

Still love grilled cheese sandwiches made with velveeta when I'm sick. Comfort food.

Basket cheese shows up around here during Easter time. It is used by Italians to make deserts and main dishes you mostly eat on Easter. It is simiilar to ricotta. There is this one dish called pizzagein, I am sure I am not spelling that even remotely correctly, but it has basket cheese, dozens of eggs, pepperoni, ham, all mixed together in a kind of crust. It is really good and costs about 200 dollars to make one (ok, I exagerate, but only slightly!)

I used to work in a cheese shop when in college. It stayed with me and now I'm the cheese maven for when people are having parties.

Aged Gouda, Grana parmesan, Boucheron, raclette, vacherin mont d'or, tomme de savioe, reblochon, Canadian Black cheddar, ricotta salata and my new fave - Bulgarian Feta. I just don't like blue cheese or swiss cheese. Go figure.

A cheese that tastes like candy - Swedish Gjetost.

There's an italian cheese and I can't remember the name - it's a semi hard cow's milk cheese with a slab of butter inside it!

On bread: Port Salut or Black Knight/Austrian Tilsit

    Sandwiches: Plain Havarti

    Popcorn: Aged gouda

"Au naturel" or with port wine: Crumbly, double Gloucester with nice blue-veined layers

I love all cheese, except blue cheese. I like swiss cheese and pepperjack cheese a lot.

I have a Dutch friend whose mum sends her proper Dutch gouda spiced with cumin seeds. It's absolutely delicious, especially as a melt.

PB, it says pick two not twenty-two! I loooove sharp white cheddar or a nice sharp provolone. Smells like feet but tastes great...

Hm. I have to go with the variations of Norwegian Goat Cheese (sweet brown cheese) and... Jarlsberg, Norvegia or Swiss (the one with holes in it). Swiss is delicious on bread with tomatoes and pepper.
Mmm... Am I wrong, or did it just get fatter in here?

I lurve cheese, except anything blue. Can't touvch blue for some reason. My favourites are strong west country cheddar, feta, emmental, leerdammer, brie, halloumi, general goats milk.

I think if I had to pick two it would be a strong cheddar, one of the really crumbly ones, then either brie or halloumi, I'm addicted to both.

Looks like good old reliable cheddar is our winner.

I love the Norwegian goat cheese, but it is very rich -- almost like candy.

    Havarti and Smoked Gouda
I had goat cheese once and it was the worst thing I had ever tasted. Im guessing its an aquired taste. Gruyere cheese is what I call the "stinky" cheese. Its pretty good but not one Id eat everyday.
    Excellent thread
