    Street meat sounds way dodgy

Mr Venus made broccoli, leek and cheddar croquettes that were delicious. Unfortunately, he made a mountain of them so we might be eating them for a few meals this week. He's a great cook, but tends to make everything in large quantities.

I think street meat is usually BBQ huts. We've got tons on those in the South.

Nothing. I have eaten way too much today so am foregoing dinner.

Tonight it's brown rice, pinto beans, a little shredded cheddar, with Louisiana hot sauce splashed on top. Some broccoli and corn too so I can get some veggies.

I am making a pot of roasted garlic and white bean soup.

There's a lovely bout of cold/flu floating around the university. Everyone is sniffling and coughing and hacking. I am loading up on the garlic and the vitamin C in hopes of avoiding it!

^^Yum. I am tired today so it will be a bit of this and that. Some leftovers, some corn, an avocado, maybe some cheese on toast.

Lol. Just to add some clarification street meat (at least here) is street vendor hot dogs and sausages.

Tonight I had a sweet potato quesadilla with mango chutney and sour cream (purchased not home made but still delicious).

I had such a long meeting tonight and had no time for dinner.

I'm unwinding now and decided to go light, so I had one crispy cold pickle and a lime frozen fruit bar.

And here's the visual for you. Quite green.

    ^Wow, that's light alright.

Going heavy here with comfort food tonite. BBQ meatloaf (thanks girls for your fast & easy recipes), Baked Macaroni and Cheese, and Buttered Spinach.

Of course that's just for the family. For me it will be yogurt and a fruit of my choice. It's going to take all of my will power.

    Homemade tacos. Yumm...
For the first time in a week I get to come home after class with something nice on the table without me fixing it.

Going to MIL's who does fantastic food. Was looking forward to a night in but I can't moan. She does great food and is bloody funny once she gets pissed.

I'm really tired, so I'm going to make some khichiri. I have no real recipe for it, apart from throwing everything in a pot. Rice, red daal, chopped up potato, some cumin seeds, chopped ginger, a chilli, tumeric, peas, zucchini, red peppers, broccoli, salt and pepper.

Add a dollop of mango chutney and that should do the trick for tonight.

I just made some manicotti. I find ricotta rather bland, so I threw some sweet basil, oregano, parsley, and garlic powder into it. And I have some garlic bread, and a salad to go with it.
