I love whole wheat pasta for most things, but when I'm making a recipe with more asian flavors I use udon noodles. I like their texture, I guess.

I've done soy-based sauces in the past. I also went and got a jar of pad thai sauce from the asian section of the grocery store and made pad thai with the udon noodles (even though it isn't the right type of noodles for that )

I love wonton noodle in soup with barbeque pork (specifically from On Lok), and vietnamese pho.

Moomies - do you know any good pho places in the downtown core? I'd love to have that for lunch

I don't know what they're called, but I really like the peanut noodles that you get as an appetizer in some Chinese places.

The fave place of ours (me & hubby's) is on Denman St. called Pho Number One. I think there are a couple of others downtown but we just always go to Pho #1.

I think I know where On Lok is, is it on Hastings?

If you think it's crazy, you ain't seen a thing. Just wait until we're goin down in flames.

Yes, it's on Hastings between Nanaimo and Commercial. A total and complete dive, but really good wonton! I like the Pho place on Oak and 49th. Good and cheap! Way better than all that other fast food crap.

After reading this thread, I think I need to broaden my noodle horizen. I'm boring, all I eat is angel hair

Ramen....mmmmmm...comfort food for me even if it's shitty and unhealthy. I just throw some peas into my bowl to make up for it.
