It was delicious - he also added basil, crushed red pepper and parsley to it. I'm cutting back on my red meat intake; thank God it doesn't have to be too big of a sacrifice.

The good thing about pasta is that it's cheap and fills you up. I used to make a lot of it when I lived alone. Even plain pasta with a little butter, garlic and cheese was delicious. I used to add crushed red pepper and parsley to mine, too.

I am currently obsessed with cauliflower. Roasted cauliflower soup, loaded cauliflower casserole, mashed cauliflower...I can not get enough!

I made a mix of boiled chicken, spinach, black eyed peas and quinoa for the kid. Added some olive oil and a bit of salt. He loved it and after he was full I gave it a try. It was seriously good. I ended up eating all of his leftovers.

At the moment, celery and a spicy bloody mary. I'm making some chicken and sausage gumbo soup for dinner. I've been on a big soup kick.

I cooked and brought dinner over to my neighbor's. He's a guy. Notice the paper towel for a napkin and how the flatware was placed. That's his ugly bowl for the broccoli and my beautiful green and white dinner plate.

It was baked chicken with shallots and bbq sauce with roasted carrots, bok choy and kale, garlic mashed potatoes with skin (put under the broiler for a crusty top) and homemade garlic bread. I brought over what was left of my Cotes du Rhone. He was very appreciative.

Awww, Chalet. I'm sure you made his week.

What am I eating? A half a bag of caramel hershey's kisses. Dear God, someone stop me. Or shoot me. Just do what you gotta do.
