Got to work early, as usual, so I could eat breakfast. Ordered cinnamon pancakes. Blech.I took a few bites, then just finished my cheese omelet. I think I'll do my 24-hour diner near my apartment; their flapjacks are always good.

I fucking rule. I managed to get my grilling completed just before the daily Miami Beach downpour!

Oh yeah: Filet steaks (marinated overnight), shrimp scampi, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes (for my kid, mainly) and portabello mushrooms. I even threw on some hot dogs so my guys will have something to eat for the next few days while I do things like dread going back to work monday and probably not getting another break from seeing patients for at least 2 weeks.

But mainly red wine for me. I should have eaten a little more though. Cause I'm more lit than I've been in awhile. But the more I cook the less I eat sometimes. And I got all that shit off the grill and in the house about 2 minutes before the downpour so I deserve a little bit of getting soused up dammit.

The last of the split pea soup I made last week. It was so good!

ETA: I am now enjoying my raw dinner - fresh corn salad [corn, red pepper, green onions, cucumber] atop a bed of romaine lettuce. I am becoming too healthy. I may need some sort of intervention soon!

I am eating some absolutely ginormous strawberries. They have quite good flavour considering how huge they are.
