I just had some crackers. But I have a roast (with veggies) in the crockpot and the aroma is driving me insane. It won't be done for hours yet.

    Haluski.

Just finished making it, the old fashioned way, and my kitchen is a disaster! Grated cabbage sauted in butter with onion, and handmade drop noodles. This is the first time the dumplings came out right for me, finally, at 45.

    Mmmmmmm.... tastes just like grandma's!

    (now I need a nap)

That looks fantastic, ultimate comfort food. And congrats on the dumplings -- I haven't made them successfully yet. They're hard to get right.

ETA: talking about the haluski. Post the recipe!!!!

Sherbear, that looks delicious! I had a Lean Cuisine and a Diet Coke for lunch, so I'm fairly buzzing from the chemicals.

Yeah, the dumplings are difficult, they either end up too hard, too soft, not salty enough, etc., but this time I got it right! (..doesn't mean it will happen again though)

Should I post it under recipes, or here?
