    liquid sugar thing *shudder*

Wendy's new fries are fantastic. Love them. But I'm a bit of a salt addict.

Very loyal to Melting Pot. Love fondue. Also a fan of Ruth Chris Steakhouse. Both expensive, but reliably good no matter where we are.
Well, I apparently live in no man's land because there very few chains mentioned in this area. Obviously the fast food shit, but no In & Out, no Chiptole (sp?), no Cheesecake Factory, no Macaroni Grill, no Ruth Chris, etc. There is a Texas Roadhouse semi close and an Outback but that's about it.

I've never set foot in a Cracker Barrell. Can't get past the 'decor' of the outside to even make it inside.

So I guess I am not a huge chain gal myself. We go to Ruby Tuesday's occasionally for the salad bar (but they've changed it here and now its not nearly as good as it used to be). And for those who love Outback---according to 'Eat This, Not That', its one of the worst places to eat calorie/fat/sodium wise. That place will kill you, as will most of the places we eat.

I'm super into Japanese now and there is an Ichiban, but wasn't impressed, so we go to the smaller, non chain joints. We are going to one tomorrow a few miles from our house called Pacific. Ma and Pa place, nothing fancy. Never been, so hope its decent.

Oh EDIT: Montana---try the Sugar Free Vanilla iced coffee at McDonalds sometime! I get it black and its actually quite good!

There's a local chain called Wentzell's that has great seafood. Some locations are better than others, but it's a solid bet to go there. I've never eaten there when it wasn't delicious.

No flavors for me, just weird that way. Flavors in coffee always taste artificial & chalky.

None, not anymore. I used to love Ted's Montana Grill, but the one near me deteriorated in quality so much that it turned me off. It closed right before Xmas.

I need to try the sugar free iced coffee at McDonald's. I love their regular coffee, but I got an iced one and it was so sickeningly sweet that I couldn't drink it.

You absolutely have to tell them unsweetened, otherwise they put in about four pumps of liquid sugar. It's vile. As I said up thread, I ordered one before I know about the sugar thing, took one sip and parked the car and marched up to the counter. They were dumbfounded that someone wouldn't want their teeth chattering sweeteners. I merely suggested that they should disclose their master diabetes plan through coffee as it's not standard to presume sweetener with coffee. Hence my psychosis of 'no sugar' 'no sugar' 'no sugar' 'are you sure there's no sugar in there'?

I know what you mean about all this sugar in stuff. I'm no diabetic, but I seriously don't know how most people can ingest the amounts of sugar in some of these 'typical' products without getting sick to their stomachs! (Or the shits? That's what will happen to me if I don't just upchuck it before things go that far). If the amounts of sugar in beverages and foods at some of these restaurants are the norm now amongst the masses, it's no wonder that this country is about to explode from fat.

I love mushrooms but for some reason I don't love them in WH hashbrowns. All of their melts are better with them though, and really great since they added Swiss cheese to the menu. By the way, my local WH is quite clean and all the girls, including the manager, have worked there for a long time so they're professionals and not a troupe of moonlighting, toothless hookers. Of course I usually only go there during the day.

Olive Garden. The freshness of their salads rivals Ruby Tuesday's. I am VERY fond of their stuffed mushrooms and the Ravioli di Portobello

I need Ruby Tuesday's salad bar at least once a month. Their pumpernickel croutons and blue cheese dressing are off the chain.

My son can't live without Cracker Barrel so I go there with him from time to time but I'm not especially attached to it.

Red Lobster for the spinach crab dip. Yummm!

The only burger joint I go to is Whataburger. The ingredients are ALWAYS fresh.

TMI alert: Whataburger's burgers makes my digestive system do things I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. For some reason, their breakfast tacos are good and don't affect me like that.
