Don't you mean "nouveaux riche." That's how FF spells it, so it must be right, lol.

I don't like any of my food to touch either; completely illogical cause it all ends up the same place

You can always tell the 'nouveaux' riche by how they spell nouveau.

^^My late brother was like that. He knew it was illogical too, but he didn't care.

Yeah but I seriously doubt you hurl yourself to the floor kicking, screaming and crying while everyone in the restaurant watches.

My daughter isn't picky about food touching, but she does tend to eat all the rice, then all the meat, then all the veggies, etc. She says she likes to savour the flavours.

I'm going to have to dig out my butter curler. That might be the solution.

    Actually it's either

    Un nouveau riche or
    Des nouveaux riches

FF was speaking in the singular and she wrote it as "nouveaux riche" instead of nouveau riche.

I have to have a fork and knife to eat pizza.

It started when I had braces umpteen years ago, and I still can't just bite into a piece of pizza. I'll pass on it if utensils are unavailable (I should pass on it everytime......)

I avoid carbonated drinks, unless it's a Michelob Ultra Amber.

We call it smoked meat also or viande fumée. But it's usually called smoked meat.

^^It's incredibly fattening but oh so good. I still dream about Schwartz's smoked meat and I haven't lived in Montreal for more than a decade.

uhhhhh...... this makes me a little paranoid....... don't want people to think I'm new.....

Since the pissing/bragging contest is still going, here's my contribution & I promise to be very ashamed & not proud:

Can't eat fresh oranges because of all that weird stringy stuff under the peel
Can't eat fresh peaches because of the fuzz
Won't eat anything green that's cooked to the point of being wilted, like spinach
Won't eat any seafood that resembles the creature it used to be, such as shrimp or a whole fish
Love dishes with cooked tomatoes if they're diced up but hate the texture of a plain tomato
If I'm hungry, eating fruit only makes me hungrier
I like pepperoni but not on pizza
I like Ranch dressing for dipping but not on salads

Yip, yip, yip in your tiny indignation. Bark furiously on, lady dog.

Thanks. I eat a little bit and bring a bunch home for my baby sitter. She will be so happy.

Sherbear- Now I know why I eat pizza with knife and fork. Forgot about the braces!
