I thought of another weird eating habit .... I don't really like cereal but I feel physically sick when I see people eating it at any time other than breakfast especially if they are messy cereal-eaters and the milk drips back off the spoon. *barf*
Its gotta be antidepressants.....no one can be this clueless and still care to post without being a sociopath
Oooh another weird food habit. I really really don't trust BBQ food, not unless I have either cooked it myself or watched the person who has cooked it. I watched some bad programs about BBQ cooked food a little while ago an it put me right off! Luckily I live in England and BBQing isn't something we get to do v often anyway.
You are as convincing as you are clever and tolerant FF S
FemmeFatale, you are either (1) truly clueless, (2) clueless because you don't want to see the truth, or (3) playing games.
I don't come on here and make random statements. Many people "smokescreen" so they don't have to hear the truth. So either you understand what I'm saying and refuse to believe it, or you truly do not know what I am talking about. I'm not going to make an assessment on which one it is, but I have a pretty good idea. And my experience of you here is that you vacillate between lucid articulate comments and immature attacks.
I could have responded the other day with all kinds of shit. But really, why would I respond to a middle-school playground insult (moo moo)? I don't believe in spreading negativity around. But I do call people out occasionally on their shit, when it really bugs me, especially if their general tone is one of arrogance.
Your comment to Pacific Breeze was offensive to me. She didn't deserve that, especially from someone who doesn't even know much about her and hasn't interacted with her enough to know what she's really like. Yet you roll insults off your cuff like an old pro, and we're supposed to sit here and take it. I've got news for you – there are at least 10 people here who don't put up with that kind of immature crap, and they're going to fight you on it, as well they should. I am one of them. But I don't fight dirty. I simply tell it like it is. When I made the "dancing around" comment I was giving you the same medicine you had just dished out, and you didn't like it, so you started with the moo moo insults.
Frankly I am way beyond bored with people who don't have enough maturity and restraint to think things through and choose their battles wisely. If I wanted a shitty place to hang out on the internet, I wouldn't be here. There are tons of shitty sites (abc.com - Dancing With The Stars Message Board is one good example) where I can hang out if I want mindless pig slop and immature playground insults and squabbles. I am not saying that what you write is mindless pig slop, but frankly the insulting knee-jerk comments you've made remind me of sites like that.
I'm not taking issue with you for being different and living differently than many of the people here. I'm taking issue with the way you communicate with people. (And believe me, you're not the only one here who has done that, so don't think you're being singled out as the only one.)
I've explained myself as thoroughly as I can. If you can't understand it, then maybe you need to go read your posts on the threads you've recently started, and your post on this http://www.gossiprocks.com/forum/ran...+rocks+members thread. (Specific post: http://www.gossiprocks.com/forum/random-talk/quick-profile-gossiprocks-members-page11-17737.html#post580340)
To me, you need to look at why you're really here. Many of your posts are very good. But it takes a skilled person to rip off a good snarky one and get away with it. A few people here do, and many of us wish we were able to do that. Some of us can, once in great awhile. You may think that many of your comments are harmless but they don't come off that way. It's the TONE behind them that some people don't like. And some of your posts are direct attacks.
I truly do hope you understand what I'm getting at. Now if you and everyone else will forgive me for hijacking this thread to address an important issue, I'd like to drop it and get back to the subject of the thread.
Since it will take FF a while to read this, let me tell you about my weird eating habits in the meantime.
I have the taste buds of a five year old, and there are many expensive things that I wouldn't eat to save my life:
Wine of any kind
Coffee of any kind
Meat of any kind
Oh and if you put a gold leaf on my dessert, I'll kick you.
I don't know why I don't like these things, it's not that they're expensive, I like Creme Brulée, for instance.
I'm much happier with a plate of simple pasta, veggie burgers or wraps, any kind of fast food and lots of diet coke and ice cream. I'm the cheapest date! Give me a baked potatoe and I'm the happiest person.
Please, don't call me classless, I can't help it. I swear, I'm not a redneck. Maybe it's because my parents forced us to go to fancy restaurants, rather than take us to McDonald's.
PS: I'll put ketchup on anything. It's that bad.
Agh! What a classless redneck you have just proved yourself to be Chilly!!!
Actually I think I'm the same. Expensive food scares me. Not just because of what the food actually is, but because of all the aires and graces you should aparently how whilst eating it. I can't be bothered with that. Eating for me is about pleasure and whilst my palate may not be particularly refined, I'm healthy and eanjoy what I eat which is all that really matters
PS. I put ketchup on a whole lot of stuff too! We really should meet for dinner one night.
Haha, I'd love to.
Let's have pizza with ketchup and Ben and Jerry's for dessert. And of course vintage coke to go with it.
Oh, and you know how I cook? I reach for the phone and call the delivery service. But I'm exceptionally good at that!
^ I put ketchup on almost everything. I have to dip my food or I just don't enjoy it.
I don't care if I am at an expensive place or not, I am the one paying for it and I will eat it the way I enjoy it. haha
Textures are a big thing for me....if it's slimy or chewy, I don't care for it. Like tomatoes, I think someone mentioned this already, but I love tomato sauce, fried tomatoes, roasted tomatoes, tomato soup, etc., but I cannot eat raw tomatoes. Same for mushrooms. I can't eat mushrooms. They are slimy and chewy. Jello...for God's sake, what is that stuff???
I've met some people like you Chilly! They grew up on fancy food and now all they'll eat is junk and basic food. Sometimes I crack up because I'll be eating something really simple, common and cheap, while remembering the 5 star restaurants I've eaten in on Maui or something. I don't think I could eat 5 star all the time, but people do.
