Yes I agree the photo doesn't help much. Is this just for 1 person? I can see you have eggs, cucumbers, cilantro? lots of bananas, some meat/poultry can't make out very much else. Pretty blue tile. You're not going hungry!

It's for the three of us - two adults and a five year old. I put the cilantro front and centre to start a war on it's use

I bought a whole chicken, a whole ham, chicken wings, chicken drumsticks and a garlic sausage in the way of meat. I roasted the chicken, saving parts to make chicken soup along with the drumsticks. Ham will be cut in half to make a large bean soup (along with the canned beans), and a few meals with the other half. Garlic sausage is used to make a lentil stew. It makes quite a bit, but it's a favourite so there tends to be very little in the way of leftovers. We usually have at least a few vegetarian meals, so the peppers, cukes and feta are for salad alongside falafel and spanakopita. Chicken wings will be barbequed with hot sauce. I bought a shitload of yogurt because we all like that, and my husband and daughter eat bananas all the time. Carrots and potatoes are staples. I didn't buy too much in the way of vegetables because the store I went to isn't my usual. I went to a bigger store because the big tub of feta is cheaper there, as is the hot sauce, raisins and walnuts. The one junk food was the potato chips. They were on sale!

Mushrooms, celery and a bag of apples. Rice wraps to make vietnamese salad rolls. I had all the other ingredients for that. a big bag of sugar snap peas - those are my snack for work. Egg noodles for the bean soup. Molasses and apple cider vinegar because I ran out of those.

Thanks for enlarging the photo, that's great. A good looking grocery haul for 3.

How do you eat all those bananas without them spoiling first?

I actually run them under cold water, let them dry and then keep them in the cupboard. We go through at least two every day and by the end of the week, if there are any left I make muffins.

the mexican family had a lot of healthy stuffs in there except of course for the bottle of sodas. in this picture you'll realize that although a lot of us are blessed to have a bunch of food on the table, some have less.

It looks very nice, missb! I am impressed that you can feed three people with that amount and a little jealous. Also, had no clue that's cilantro, I thought it was parsley. Sure looks like parsley.

Seems he would spend all his time in the bathroom, with the amount of liquid he's consuming.

I agree. That large soda alone would probably be about 500cal. What an awful diet.

The only ones I can see needing more than 2500 a day are the walkers and manual laborers. Unless some of these young people also play sports.

That druck driver is killing himself.

I unpeel them, wrap them in foil & freeze them. I use these in smoothies with other frozen fruit, mostly berries..
