Man I got all excited about this cake, until I read the comment.

At my wedding, I'm totally serving SpaceCakes!

^^^Hee, pot brownie cup cake tree! The very idea cracks me up because I always see little old ladies and soccer moms ooing and ahhing over those cupcake trees at the craft store. The thought of them going back and having pot parties with their helmet haired friends inspires me with hope ;D

Haha, thanks! Everything was kinda last minute and thrown together, like our cake, but we had a really good time, and the cake was delicious! I had her add amaretto to the frosting and it was sooooo good!

^^Oh my god, I was totally fawning over those cupcake holder trees at Target the other day! I think I might just cave and buy one...

I was lucky that my wedding cake not only looked just like the pic I showed my baker but it also tasted good. She made it taste like cheesecake and I asked for good old buttercream frosting instead of fondant, which tastes like ass. She spread the buttercream as smooth as fondant, even piped some swiss dots on there. She was just starting out baking cakes for weddings, so it was relatively cheap, too. And you not only meet with your baker and ask to see pictures of her actual work, you should get at least one trial run tasting too. Duh.

I can't believe GR has a wedding cake thread - I love wedding cakes - I search the internet for them. Here's a nice one:

    Matching wedding cake and invitations.

    Halloween wedding cake.

    Fairy-tale dream wedding cake.

    Nintendo wedding cake.

Here is one that I actually like:

I like the monogram in the icing, the magnolia leaves, and the flowers on top.

I like the glow i nthe dark cake, because I'm tacky like that... The description for the Mickey Mouse cake had me ROTFLMAO, so simple yet so funny.

I really liked the Mickey Mouse cake, I think it'd be perfect if you were getting married at Disney and had the whole theme going on (they make Disney Princess invitations and such). I don't know...I'm a sap for Disney so I guess that's why I like it.

I also really like the video game cakes, they're perfect groom's cakes (probably because I love video game geeks, haha).
All you can do at life is play along and hope that sometimes you get it right.
