I just remembered this thread while eating a salad. I've taken to adding some seaweed thats been mixed with soysauce and chillies to my salads. Also roasting up some chickpeas with chilli powder and then crushing a few to add as a finisher on salads. Big fan of having a herb based salad now rather then a straight up lettuce based salad.

    Just thought I would share.

Trophy's makes a yummy Thai Chicken salad.
I also love grilled salmon salad with spinach and red onions.

I tried that myself it's pretty good, not to mention that it's lighther than croutons. You can also add unsalted peanuts or almonds for an extra crunch in your salad.

lately i've been eating lettuce wraps....it's picadillo meat with "rotel" which is a combination of tomatoes, green peppers, and onions wrapped in a sleeve of lettuce..a great alternative to tortillas!

I loooove Italian coldcuts like pepperoni, salami, motadella, provolone and olive oil on a salad, like an antipasto salad with that delicious Italian tuna in olive oil, I think that is what I will have for lunch.
