I actually like the tap water in Houston and drink it all the time. But when I'm at college, I prefer bottled water. The tap water here has a gross taste and it just smells dirty, like a public bathroom. I honestly wonder if it's being properly purified.

I have well water, that has been tested to be drinkable, but when I make coffee or tea with it, our bellies get bloated.......hello........I believe there's something weird in that thar water!

I also buy the gallon jugs of drinking water, and fill a large container in my fridge that has a spiggot (sp?)

I drink water from the Great Lake Erie (treated of course ) and love it. Bottled water has no taste, IMO. It's cheaper too, I think? Just paid my water bill, $86.25 for 3 months for 2 people. Whenever I go out of town I hate the water but I'm sure it's whatever a person gets use to.

At work we have a water cooler, and that's where I drink the majority of my water from. At home, it's in a Brita. I'm not a big fan of the waste caused by bottled water.

As Dixie said, our water is turbid for about 6 months of the year, it seems. I've noticed that I can smell the dirt in it when I shower, which isn't terribly reassuring.

Eww, I'd do the same thing if mine was like that. Or buy it.
