God, I wish I had the time these idiots have to get this worked up over a red fucking coffee cup.

They have never said the word Christmas on the cup. Ever. The stuff on there is usually fairly nondenominational. We also are not banned from saying Merry Christmas as employees. The guy complaining in the video probably didn't get his Merry Christmas because it's still November. How about we get through Thanksgiving first?

PLUS we still carry Christmas Blend in 3 different forms and we are currently selling an advent calendar (just like we do every year). But yep, war on Christmas. Whatever.

^^I said that Starbucks sold an Advent calendar.. If that's not Christ in Christmas for them, I don't think Jesus was ever their actual issue!

Is it possible that the original complainer was being tongue-in-cheek just to see if he could get some morons up in arms over nothing?

Twenty bucks this is just a Starbucks marketing strategy. Just like spelling names wrong on cups.

I saw a news story on this last night, and it was the first I had heard about Starbucks having the plain red cups to be politically correct; I don't know if the reporter just made the assumption that this was the case, but she then proceeded to interview customers asking what they thought of Starbucks doing so, and most of them were bothered by them wanting to be so PC that they didn't include any holiday symbols. I thought that was rather inflammatory of the reporter to present the story in that way, because the question she was asking was not really what the issue was, I don't believe Starbucks has ever said the reason for the plain cups was to avoid offending other religions. They also mentioned in the story that some customers are getting around Starbucks being "anti-Christmas" by asking to have their name written as "Merry Christmas" on their cups ...
