don't worry alice, the same thing happens to me when i'm PMSing.
i'm sure you're just retaining water from PMS. wait until you get your period and then in 24 hours you'll pee out all the extra weight and i'm sure you've actually lost weight.

I went and got some plain greek yogurt to try, specifically because of this thread. WOW that is not what I expected. More like sour cream (I got plain). Have to figure out how to make some dips and/or sweeten it so I don't waste it. The husband and kids hate it so it's on me. Ideas?
Don't worry about what other people think. They don't do it very often.
Add some honey, frozen berries, chopped nuts, etc. It tastes sour because it isn't full of fucking sugar but once you train your tastebuds you'll love it.

Corsair, for dips if you like garlic you can make tzatziki. I would recommend using dill and not mint in that recipe.
the dip sounds fantastic - I have all but the cucumber, but shopping tomorrow. Will also try the fruit and honey, I may drop in some vanilla to ease myself into it. Thank you!

I was about to suggest tzatziki but yanna got there before me. it's absolutely delicious with just about anything but i especially love it with falafel.
agree it definitely tastes different but I think you should give it a chance, try it with fruits and a little honey and almonds, with muesli, etc. a*o is right, if you're used to sweet yogurts, even diet ones, it takes time to get used to tarter and less sugary ones.

You can also use it anywhere you would use sour cream (and with far less of a caloric hit) - tacos, fajitas, baked potatoes, dollop it into soups, etc.

Alice, are you seriously pissed because of a pound? The average human body can go up and down 5 lbs a day in water weight alone.
