My daughter has caught the bug - she just bought a set of these - 4 cups and a teapot, apparently it was the colour and the theme - honeycomb. She say she's never wanted this stuff before, and is a little confused, lol. But it is nice to see her on her days off having a cup of tea...

Oh, and I thought I would add these toys: candles, salt & pepper and cookie cutters. All from Victorian trading company.

i got this set last weekend at a flea market/antique fair. it's alfred meakin. i looked it up online and according to the mark, it's from between 1937 and 1945. it has the mark with 'royal marigold' written on it.

i'm going to give it to my mother when i go visit her in 2 weeks. she loves anything art deco.

it's a really gorgeous blue, hard to capture in the shitty pics. the ones with the flash don't do it justice and the others are too dull.

Poking around on ebay and I found a couple of teacups I already own.

I call this one the melon. Mine has a better colour match between the cup and saucer though. The inside looks like mother of pearl because of the iridescent finish.

Then I found it in other colours.

I've also got this one but in the same periwinkle blue as the one directly above. I call this one the origami. yeah, my teacups have names.

I'm not even getting the red x. I feel ripped off.
