Oh man, they are so good.
Thank God the closet one to me is over an hour away. I normally go once a year, while Christmas shopping.

I could see an In-N-Out burger from my hotel window in Las Vegas. Wish I'd tried it now

What are these wedge fries y'all are talking about?

I started eating In-N-Out when I moved to Vegas in '94 and the fries were always skinny. Never cared for them much.

The burgers and shakes are delicious though. Toasted buns...mmmm.

Checker's/Rally's fries are sinfully good. I'd brave the ghetto-ish surroundings for them. Well, during the day.

I agree - I thought In-N-Out was overrated. I had Jamba Juice for the 1st time on the same trip & love it though.
No, Culvers is pretty good though. I was referring to a chain called Steak N Shake, ever heard of it? I just checked their website and they have started moving into way more states now. They have great burgers, fries, and shakes. And their chili is to die for.

Oh! Hell to the yes! Although we call it Steak 'n Wait because they take forever to cook your food to order. I once waited in the drive-thru for 20 minutes at like 1:30-2 am for a cheeseburger from there. I cursed in my car a lot, but after I ate it, I decided it was totally worth it.

I know! But at least you are getting it fresh...man I would kill for one of their burgers right now, they are the best! My tummy is rumbling just thinking about it. I'm even looking at their menu:

Steak N Shake is one of those places that I have to hit up whenever I'm home.

i'm wondering about this, too. i started eating in-n-out around '96 or so & the fries seem the same now as they've always been.

    must've been waaaaaaay back.

Oh yeah! I pass one on the way to work--they've really expanded because I'm in Georgia now. Love them! And they're open 24 hrs - can't beat that.

OMG, Rally's will kick in-n-out's ass any day! In-n-out is a lot better than Mc Donnalds or Burger King, but yeah their fries are nasty and have no taste. Now Rally's are THE best and a thousand times better than in-n-out. Their seasoned fries are bomb too. They taste like chicken lol.
