My most memorable picnic was way back in fourth grade. I had such an amazing teacher with a heart of gold. I grew up in a working class neighborhood, and a lot of the kids at school didn't have much. Some even went hungry during lunch. At the end of the school year, our teacher bought buckets of KFC with all the fixings, plus a huge cake for dessert. We went to the nearby park for a really nice picnic. We played so many games, played by the nearby stream and went on a little hike through the woods and ate so much food! A kid's paradise.

Great story! The sad thing is that teachers like that are becoming rare. I have such fond memories of some of my teacher-teachers that really cared...

I went on a hot air balloon ride during a balloon festival. Pilot saw my cell phone and threw it out to the crew during take off. Was mad, but was grateful for the peace of being away from work for a brief time.

Balloon touched another in air gently. They call this balloon kisses. Very peaceful and quiet, except for the dogs barking. Landed in a vacant field and packed up the balloon. We had champagne and snacks. Wonderful time.
Drive a car, drive a boat, drive a plane. What does it matter? As long as I'm drunk!

Me, too...I still haven't forgotten this teacher in particular. She was one of those who really encouraged all of her kids to reach for the stars. Sadly, I also have not-so-fond memories of the teachers that by today's standards abused some of the so-called naughty students.
